Dr. Carolina Lopezlena Nichols was born in 1968 in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, a state located in the northern-west of México, just across from Arizona.
Graduated from high school in 1986 from Centro Escolar del Lago, located in the suburbs of Mexico City.
Graduated second in class from the Baja California Autonomous University (UABC) in 1991 with a Dental Surgeon Degree, in Tijuana, Baja California, México.
In 2001 got a diploma in Prosthodontics and Occlusion at the Baja California Autonomous University (UABC).
Commited to Continous Education, had assisted to numerous courses and seminars both in México and the US through the 20 years she has been in private practice.
In 1994 opened Grupo Medico y Dental, a medical and dental practice in association with Dr. Vicky Levy, DDS and Dr. Antonio Villagrana, MD.
In 1997 opened Tijuana Dental a solo practice dedicated to Cosmetic, Preventive and Prosthodontic Dentistry. Had maintained a Mercury Free and Mercury Safe office since 2000.
Dr. Lopezlena was trained in mercury free and biological dentistry, and mercury detox protocols by Dr. Tom McGuire DDS (a leading authority on dental wellness, mercury amalgam fillings and mercury detoxification), and she was the first director of the Oral Health Care Center at Sanoviv Health and Healing Center ( Sanoviv is one of the few health clinics in the world that is dedicated to bridging the gap between oral and overall health).
Member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and the International Association of Mercury Free Dentists (IAMFD).
Has lectured locally and nationally for the Mexican Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and other Health Groups on the subject of mercury amalgam filling, mercury toxicity and its relationship to overall health.
Dr. Lopezlena´s practice is today dedicated to non-toxic, mercury free dentistry with emphasis on cosmetic and functional occlusal dentistry.
